The business challenge
Maple Horizon International Holdings was a newly incorporated federal holding company in Windsor, Ontario, setting out to operate and advise businesses between Canada and the Gulf. It had no logo, no website and no clear way to explain six divisions to partners, suppliers and investors on both sides. Before the first meeting, it needed to look like a company you could trust with a cross-border deal.

What MapleHex did
MapleHex built MHI Group's presence from the ground up. We designed the mark, a maple leaf over a gold horizon, wrote the positioning and every page of copy, and designed and built mhi-group.ca: a section for each of the six divisions and an inquiry form that sends MHI a branded notification and the visitor an auto-reply. We launched in late 2025, and in 2026, as the group sharpened its Canada–GCC focus, we refined the brand and rebuilt the site as an editorial experience. We also run the domain, hosting and business email.

Key design & technical decisions
- 01
An editorial look, not a corporate template: warm paper, deep ink, maple red and muted gold, with Fraunces headlines over Geist, so a new group reads as established and considered.
- 02
The story before the services: the site opens on the Canada–GCC corridor (“Supply · Standards · Stability” meets “Demand · Capital · Growth”) and “A holding group, not an agency”, then presents the six divisions as one numbered index.
- 03
Every inquiry gets an answer: the contact form pre-selects the division the visitor came from, sends branded emails to both sides, and promises a reply within 1–2 business days, in English or Arabic.
- 04
Built to be found: per-page metadata, a generated Open Graph image, a sitemap and Organization structured data with the Windsor headquarters, served by Next.js on a VPS we manage.
04
The finished experience
Visitors land on “Where Canadian enterprise meets Gulf opportunity.” over the Dubai skyline, with the key facts underneath (Windsor headquarters, federal corporation, Canada · GCC · Global) and a ticker of eleven cities from Windsor to Muscat. The page then sets out the group, the corridor, the six divisions and “The difference between advice and accountability”, and closes with “Bring us your next market.” The About page tells the story and the operating principles, and the Contact page invites a conversation, with NDAs on request.
